History of Kakamega High School

Kakamega Boys previously called Government African School started in 1914 but became operational in 1933.

The institution is located in Lurambi constituency within Kakamega County.

The founding head Mr Harold Arthur Waterloo Chapman laid a strong foundation that has seen the institution shining over the years. Other notable administrators include Mr Gerald Orina.

Notable alumni from Kakamega School include former speaker of the National Assembly Kenneth Marende and former Vice President of Kenya Moody Awori.
