Alumna and history of Kisumu Girls
Kisumu Girls High School located along Kisumu-Kakamega Highway, opposite the main Kisumu Bus Park, was founded in 1962 as an extension of the prestigious Kisumu Boys High School.
The six-stream institution has since evolved into a premier secondary school shaping girls into dignified women in leadership roles.
In 2012, Kisumu Girls was upgraded to the National School status. former administrators include Eve Odhiambo, now principal at Dudi Girls.
The school vision is ‘To be the leading school in moulding lives and character of girls in Kenya.’
On the other hand, the mission is ‘To produce girls with a culture of service for the benefit of the society through active participation in academic and social programmes.’
