Alumna and history of Makueni Boys
Makueni Boys High School founded in 1966 by former Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga is located along Wote – Kathonzweni – Makindu road, about a 10-minute walk from the Makueni Governors offices.
The foundation stone for its first building was laid on September 20, 1965, by then Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
Makueni Boys with ten streams per class and over 2,100 students was upgraded to a national school in 2011.
As we speak, the institution is sponsored by the African Inland Church (AIC).
The school vision is ‘To be a leading Institution in the Nation.’ On the other hand, Makueni Boys mission is ‘To Prepare and produce holistic young men to serve humanity.’
