History of Makueni Boys High School
Makueni Boys High School founded in 1966 by former Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga is located along Wote – Kathonzweni – Makindu road, about a 10-minute walk from the Makueni Governors offices.
The foundation stone for its first building was laid on September 20, 1965, by then Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
Makueni Boys with ten streams per class and over 2,100 students was upgraded to a national school in 2011.
As we speak, the institution is sponsored by the African Inland Church (AIC).
