Sameta boys founded in 1956 is located on the slopes of Sameta Hills overlooking Ogembo Municipality.

Within vicinity are Sameta boarding primary School, Maya Holiday Point, and Sameta Lodges.

The incumbent administrator at Sameta Boys is the Chief Principal Daniel Mirumbe, formerly attached to Usenge Boys.

Earlier principals include Mr. Kenaz Rakiro, Mr Clement Nyangacha of Kebirigo Boys High School, Mr Fredleo Sunda, and Moenga Motanya.

Mr Nyangacha is also a former principal at Rigena PAG Mixed Secondary School.

The Sameta High Alumni Association (SHAA) members include the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital CEO Dr Oimeke Mariita and veteran Bobasi parliamentarian Stephen Kengere Manoti.
