Kisumu Boys secondary school located in Winam within Kisumu County did not disappoint in producing top cream candidates.
Kisumu Boys’ High School was founded in 1925 as a primary school for Indian railway workers’ children during the construction of the Kenya–Uganda Railway.
In 1948, it became a secondary school called Indian High School.
It was later designated as a boys-only institution following the establishment of Kisumu Girls’ High School in 1961.
After Kenya’s independence, the school began admitting African students.
The first African head prefect was appointed in 1968, and the first African principal, Daniel Obare Awora, took over in 1974.
