The institution can only do better in the upcoming Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
Alumna and history of Upper Hill School
Upper Hill School initially called Delamere School was founded in 1956 by Lord Delamere.
The institution was established to cater for the academic needs of European boys and girls who could not enroll at the nearby Duke of York School now called Lenana School or Prince of Wales now called Nairobi School.
In 1959, the boys relocated to Lord Delamere School even as the girls remained at Lady Delamere Girls.
The school boys school would be renamed to Simba Secondary School in 1969 and later Upper Hill School after the local road.
As we speak, Upper Hill School on a 13.6 acre of land is located along Upper Hill Road, next to Don Bosco Church and the British High Commission Offices.
In 1997, the school started transitioning from a day to a boarding institution, eventually becoming a full boarding school in 2004.
Upper Hill School enrolment has since tripled to nearly 2,000 learners with post-modern tuition blocks, laboratories, halls, and library.
Above all, the institution boasts highly accomplished alumna and administrators.
