Alumna and history of Naivasha Girls
Naivasha Girls Secondary School located in Naivasha Constituency within Nakuru County was established in 1961 as Hill School; a primary school exclusively for white children.
Following the 1964 closure, the school on a 20 acre piece of land was reopened in 1966 as a mixed-day, single-stream secondary school.
In 1975, the institution was restructured as a girls-only boarding school, male students were consequently transferred to Koelel High School in Gilgil.
The school population has since tripled with an increased pass rate in the Kenyan National Examination exams.
The school vision is ‘To make Naivasha Girls a global Centre of excellence in girl child education.’
On the other hand, the mission is ‘To prepare the girl child for total integration and participation in national and international life through holistic and quality education.’
