Our Lady of Mount Carmel Maryhill Girls located in Thika within Kiambu County, Kenya, was founded in 1933 by the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa, popularly called the White Sisters.
Named in honor of Mary, the mother of Jesus, Maryhill Girls was intended to end African, European, and Asian racial segregation in classroom.
Maryhill Girls High School continues to uphold its founding principles, emphasizing discipline, moral and spiritual development, and academic excellence.
