History of Onjiko High School

Onjiko Boys High School founded in the 1930s by the African Inland Mission, now African Inland Church, is located in Nyando sub-county within Kisumu County.

It is situated approximately 300 meters from the Kisumu-Nairobi Highway, near the Kisii junction. Furthermore, Onjiko Boys is about 24 kilometers east of Kisumu town.

Initially a mission primary school, the institution was upgraded to Onjiko High School in 1964, courtesy of the Ominde Commission.

The prestigious school runs on the competence based curriculum with core values such as academic prosperity, discipline, hard work, community growth and personal development.ย
