The Methodist-sponsored Kaaga Girls was founded in 1926 with the main aim of educating young girls to become supportive wives to the few educated men who had embraced Western education.

In 1961 Kaaga became a Secondary School and in 1971, the first ‘A’ Levels Science students were admitted. Currently, the school has four streams.
