What is the history of Chavakali Boys? The school was founded in 1959 with Mr. Andrew Mukuli as the founding school administrator.

The institution is a Harambee school primarily established by the Maragoli people.

The Great Chavakali Boys is located in Vihiga County, Sabatia District, Chavakali North Zone, Chavakali sub-county, Chavakali North Ward in Western Kenya.

Chavakali Boys is situated about 22 kilometers to the South of Kakamega town, via Mukumu Girls.

Notably, it was the first school in Kenya to introduce Agriculture as a subject.

Elsewhere, Chavakali pioneered other subjects such as industrial arts in wood technology.
